“I really never completely knew what Zen Shiatsu was all about. I thought it was just about manipulating different points on the body, similar to acupressure. Boy, was I completely wrong. For me, what came about was a peaceful balance between mind and muscle. As my weekly sessions continued, baby steps were occurring. That is a big deal to me. I felt that my walking (such as it is) has improved. I do not feel like I am dragging an iron ball behind each leg. Better flexibility has occurred. I enjoy the peacefulness and mindfulness that comes with each session. Those feelings last a long time after the session is over, because not only is my mind happier (due to ease of movement), I feel my muscles and body responding in a very positive way, and yearning for more! I now have a more positive outlook on my future well-being due to shiatsu.
Before I started on the road to Zen Shiatsu, I felt stagnant and frustrated and stiff. Obviously, there is no one-shot cure-all for anything, but shiatsu puts your thinking and body on such a positive plane – it makes me happy because my body responds so positively.
It is important to listen to the messages your body is telling you, especially when it is getting so much positive reinforcement. I cannot wait for my weekly sessions! Zen Shiatsu puts a big smile on my face!”
"When I first learned about Shiatsu, I was told that it is like acupuncture without needles. I have since found that it is much more than this. It involves touching and energy balancing. Depending on your needs, Ninetta's techniques change; no session is the same. I have found that it fulfills a void in me. Because of it, I get a feeling that things are right, that they make sense, I'm in balance. Ninetta has a way of bringing peace. She is kind and warm and easy to talk to and relate to. I have realized that Shiatsu is very interesting, fulfilling and dynamic. You must try it. You'll love it and Ninetta."
"I have experienced Ninetta's Zen Shiatsu massage all through her schooling and I still continue to see her regularly. I recently had put my back out and I called Ninetta. She was able to see me immediately. I was barely able to walk when I got there but after an hour I was walking straighter and had very little pain. I went from a 10 pain level to a 2 pain level!
She knew exactly what to do; she is as intuitive as she is knowledgeable and professional. There's a nurturing quality that is innate in Ninetta. I left that day feeling healthier (both emotionally and physically) and spiritually more balanced."
"I have been struggling with anxiety for several years. With prescription medication and regular counseling, I was getting my panic attacks under control, but I was still lacking personal motivation and a general feeling of inner peace.
I met Ninetta on my way to a counseling one day and thought I would give Shiatsu a try. After our first session I felt relaxed and peaceful. I decided to book another appointment. From that point on, I was hooked.
Over the past couple of months, I have been finding myself more motivated, happier, and content. I am now able to lower the dosage for my anxiety medication and feel like the person I used to be again."
"The first time I ever heard of Zen Shiatsu was in my therapist's office. At that time, I was suffering from severe, debilitating anxiety. The thought of my trying anything new created waves of terror. Not to mention the fact that I despise strangers touching me. Am I the only female who can't stand massages and mani-pedis? So, how did a girl like me end up being a HUGE fan of Ninetta and Zen Shiatsu? Answer: It's a miracle! Simply being in the presence of Ninetta is enough to change your life. Her wisdom is deep and profound. She has an open and compassionate spirit that surrounds you with peace. Add the ancient practice of Zen Shiatsu and you will experience a powerful, yet gentle transformation over time. I wish I could shout from the rooftops to encourage everyone to do this for themselves. It has changed my life. Give yourself two sessions. Why? Because the first time you won't believe that something so relaxing could make such an impact."
